Vintage Curb Link T-Bar Watch Chain Bracelet

This spectacular, one-of-a-kind vintage bracelet is comprised of a 12k gold-filled, chunky, etched curb link watch chain. I added an additional vintage 12k gold-filled swivel dog clasp so the chain can be worn as a bracelet. It measures just over 7.5 inches, and the T-bar charm is removable to add some versatility. 

The links are a chunky 7mm each and the piece weighs 20 gm. Both dog clasps are marked with brands, but a bit warn and hard to make out through my eye loop. The T-bar is also marked "Record."

"Gold filled" means there is a solid layer of gold (12k, 14k, 18k or 24k) permanently bonded to a base metal, such as brass. The minimum layer of gold must equal at least 1/20th of the total weight of the piece in order for it to be designated 'gold filled.' 

Gold-filled is a beautiful and more economical alternative to solid gold, which is not affordable for everybody. Gold-filled jewelry has 100x more gold than gold-plated, and because that layer is so much thicker, it means gold-filled jewelry lasts longer and stands up to wear and tear better.
