Faceted Citrine Ametrine Beaded Gemstone Necklace

This handmade, one-of-a-kind beaded gemstone necklace features gorgeous  faceted citrine and ametrine beads.

14k gold-filled beads separate the amethyst from the ametrine bib in the front, and the piece fastens with a 14k gold-filled lobster clasp, beads and finishings. 

There is a chain extender attached to the clasp that allows this necklace to adjust from 17 to 19 inches.

"Gold filled" means there is a solid layer of gold (12k, 14k, 18k or 24k) permanently bonded to a base metal, such as brass. The minimum layer of gold must equal at least 1/20th of the total weight of the piece in order for it to be designated 'gold filled.'   

Gold-filled is a beautiful and more economical alternative to solid gold, which is not affordable for everybody. Gold-filled jewelry has 100x more gold than gold-plated, and because that layer is so much thicker, it means gold-filled jewelry lasts longer and stands up to wear and tear better.
